
When did you first believe you could make a career out of football?
I think it was my mentality and my talent that made me think I could go higher, and with hard work, dedication, and belief.
How did the move to Sweden and joining Landvetter IS come about?
I moved to Sweden when I was 4 and played for some local teams near me and when I was 17-18, I joined Landvetter. They had a good plan and I wanted to join their project but after that, I moved to Kinna IF, there I had one of my best years as a U20 player under the coach of Farzad Forghani.
What have been the biggest differences between football in Sweden and in Rwanda?
The differences between Swedish football and Rwandan football are that when you play African football, you get more physically strong and faster on your game, more like 1-2 touch, you have freedom. To play Swedish football is more about the tactical things, like how you’re gonna position yourself and run and play the ball, so it’s more physical and more tactical
What does representing Rwanda at the U-20 level mean to you?
For me, it always been my dream to represent my country at the youth level and to play in that badge for my home country. It has been one of my best times.
What areas of your game are you currently focused on improving?
The areas of my game I think are more my target game and scoring goals with my head, that’s what I’m working on extra with my personal coach.
What are your personal goals for the remainder of the season?
My personal goals are to win the top scorer in Division 3 Västra götaland with my new team Näsets Sk and to help my team as much as I can to make it to the second tier.
What has been the hardest part of being away from home?
I think some of the routines and my family, but I try to make it clear that better days are to come.
Who has supported you the most throughout your football journey?
The one who supported me most is my mom, she has been there for me, my family my closest friends, and my personal coach. I’m very happy to have them by my side.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time when you’re not training or playing?
I like to be with my friends, watch football or series movies, and go to watch some live games.
How do coaches in Sweden help you improve your game?
They help me a lot, and I’m thankful for that. I had a coach in Kinna IF last season, Farzad Forghani, one of the best coaches I had in my career. He has helped me a lot to improve.
How do you prepare mentally before matches?
I pray first of all and listen to the Quran or some music, 2Pac, some of the oldies, and yeah, just sitting in my room, mentally ready for my game.
Who is your idol?
My Idol in football is Cristiano Ronaldo.
What motivates you to keep pushing every day?
No one is pushing for me. I always want to improve and work hard and make it to succes its hard, but it’s in my head for me. I wanna be the best player, that what’s pushing me.
Is playing in leagues like the English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, or Ligue 1 part of your long-term ambition?
My dream is LaLiga or Serie A, and inshallah, I will make it happen soon. This is my long-term ambition.

First of all want to thank God and my family for the moment, and my coaches in Kinna IF and in Rwanda, Eric Umulisa, Patricos, and Rene, the whole staff there that helped me to get me where I am today.
